Make an application for the 2024 European Commission Blue Book Traineeship Program. Annually, the European Commission provides five-month, reimbursed traineeships for 1,800 interns. These internships have to do with roles in administration or translation.
The traineeships often begin on 1st March for the spring year and 1st October for the fall year. The primary aim of these traineeships is to teach hands-on skills of European guideline-making in a multicultural setting.

For every traineeship duration, the Commission’s traineeship office specifies the number of interns to be ascribed to each directorate general, service, and agency based on the budget’s obtainability, existing requirements, and resources.

Qualifications
The traineeship program is available to university graduates who:
- You must possess a university certification or equivalent of a minimum of 3 years of study or 180 ETCS, aligning to a complete cycle of a bachelor’s degree.
- Candidates must understand two official European languages, one of which must be a processed language, English or French, or German.
- For non-EU citizens, more than one processed language is needed.
- The language level needed is C due to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
- You must have prior work skills over six weeks in any European university, entity, or agency, European delegations, with Members of Parliament (MEPs) or Advocates General at the EUCJ.
- There is no age cap for candidates.
Application
Applications for the traineeship course are presented online using the online application portal. The Application portal is available and will cease on 15th March 2024. You will be required to submit the following application papers.
- A duplicate of an authentic passport or identification card as proof of your citizenship
- Present duplicates of all university diplomas you have stated to hold in your application.
- Also, attach aligning university transcripts for every one of the programs you have concluded.
- Candidates may also attach copies of evidence of registration in ongoing studies.
- Evidence of language skills may have to do with the following:
- Language skill credentials
- Documented written evidence of skills for the language from language centers. Language evidence is required to demonstrate the status acquired.
- Language programs at institutions demonstrate the level.
- University programs tutored in English.
- If relevant, duplicates of evidence of all stated working skills. Apply for a reference letter from your employer, with a firm letterhead, accurately signed and dated, and listing the work duration.
