Qualification

The Citizenship conditions for candidates include:

  • You are required to be a national of an NIIED-assigned nation that has been requested to participate in the GKS grant program.
  • Neither the candidate nor their guardians or parents are required to hold dual citizenship, whereby one is a Korean.
  • Abroad Korean candidates who hold Japanese nationality and make an application through the Consulate track are qualified to do so if their parents hold permanent resident tickets within Japan while holding Korean nationality.

Grades and past performance

  • You must have retained the cumulative grade score average equivalent to or higher than any of the listed below from your past academics.

The Candidate’s Health status conditions include:

  • Every candidate is required to be in good health, mentally and physically, to learn in Korea for the entire period of the educational program or research courses.
