This standard was authentic until July 15, 2023, to permit Ukrainians impacted by the Russian attack on Ukraine to come to Canada. Present CUAET holders had until March 31, 2024, to relocate to Canada from abroad. The standard strived to assist Ukrainians and their loved ones in relocating to Canada as soon as possible. A Fresh Route for Ukrainians
On October 23, 2023, the Minister of Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada, Honourable Marc Miller, established a new route to provide permanent residents for Ukrainian citizens with family members in Canada. This will assist them to reunite with their families and remain permanently in Canada.
This new route will begin on October 23, 2023, and it will offer PR to Ukrainian nationals who already have one or more family members with Canadian citizenship or PR status. Hence, those who disobey the new scheme’s requirements can also apply for temporary resident status to relocate to Canada. Having arrived in Canada, TR will be qualified to apply for a prolonged stay of up to three years via study or open work permits. Ukrainian citizens also possess access to immigration benefits, which include language apprenticeship and employment benefits.
